• BIG5 NFT
In the early days of the BIG5 platform service, NFTs will be issued and managed exclusively by the BIG5 Foundation. In the future, when the service and platform secure stability, we plan to establish specific internal policies and build the necessary infrastructure (self-developed NFT marketplace, wallet service, e-commerce system, etc.) to provide an environment where users can issue and sell content created by themselves as NFTs.
The BIG5 of animals issued as NFTs will be selected annually or quarterly, so the same animal may be selected repeatedly. BIG5 NFTs will be produced in various forms of content such as photos, drawings, and memes, and for this purpose, we will continue to collaborate with artists in each field.
The first animals to be created as BIG5 NFTs are rhinos, lions, elephants, tigers, and gorillas. In principle, it is prepared by referring to the data of the World Wildlife Fund, which is collected every year, but as it is in the early days of the platform service, it is intended to attract the attention of donors by selecting representative animals that are well known to the public but are in danger of disappearing from the face of the earth. After that, the scope of NFT issuance will be expanded to all living things, not just animals.
• Meme
'Meme', which refers to a secondary creation spread on the internet (community or SNS) in the form of a parody, can take various forms, such as paintings, videos, and photographs. The created memes spread between people through social networks, blogs, emails, and news, creating a new culture and resonating with society.
In the early stages of the BIG5 platform's service, it will be operated in the form of selling only memes created by the BIG5 Foundation, just like NFTs. After that, when the platform and service reach the stabilization stage, there is a plan to create a community (or bulletin board) within the platform to support users to release and share their own memes in the form of an exhibition.
We are discussing specific measures to diversify users and contents, such as selecting works from among the exhibited users' memes and issuing them as NFTs through users' votes (preferences), or allowing the foundation to issue NFTs in the form of permission at the request of the users who created the memes. By issuing user-created memes as NFTs, we aim to create an ecosystem where more donors can participate by increasing user participation and interest.
• Online game + Goods shopping mall
The BIG5 project team will develop and service an online game featuring endangered wildlife characters that can be issued or minted as BIG5 NFTs. This game, which will be serviced on the BIG5 platform, will expand the use of wild points given as rewards through activities on the platform, giving another fun to donation activities, and acting as a factor to revitalize the platform.
By designing it so that BIG5 tokens can be mined (acquired) through the game, users will be able to use them to purchase BIG5 NFTs or to trade personal digital assets. Ultimately, the goal is to activate the token economy within the platform to maintain a circular structure and increase the inflow of donors into the platform to collect more donations.
In addition, the characters of the game that will be provided on the BIG5 platform will be produced into various goods such as dolls, clothing, miscellaneous goods, and stationery, and a goods shopping mall will be built where users can purchase them by paying with Wild Points or BIG5 tokens. We plan to enter into partnerships with artists in each field to produce character goods. It is expected that the game character goods will further increase the general public's awareness and interest in the protection of endangered wildlife, as well as their participation.
• NFT marketplace
BIG5 NFTs are issued based on the Ethereum network's ERC-721 token standard and can be traded through external NFT marketplaces where Ethereum-based NFTs can be traded. In the early stages of the BIG5 platform's service, it provides a service that links BIG5 NFT content transactions by linking with external marketplaces.
In the future, the BIG5 project team plans to operate an NFT marketplace developed by itself to prevent content theft damage caused by frequent hacking and form a safe P2P trading market. In addition, when users purchase NFTs on external NFT marketplaces, they plan to directly pay with BIG5 tokens or exchange BIG5 tokens for Ethereum.
• Wallet service
In the early stages of the BIG5 platform's service, it will be operated in connection with external wallet services such as MetaMask and Trust Wallet instead of providing its own wallet service. In the future, it plans to provide a wallet service developed by itself. The BIG5 platform's wallet service will be created at the same time as users sign up for the platform and support them to use the service, so that users' assets can be safely stored, quickly transferred, and conveniently managed. In addition, it plans to design basic wallet services such as exchange (swap), withdrawal, deposit, and staking between BIG5 tokens and other tokens to be simple and convenient to use.
