🐻BIG5 Chain Network

The BIG5 chain network (hereinafter referred to as BCN), which will be developed and serviced by the BIG5 project team, is a distributed computing platform with its own protocol. BCN's main idea is to enable developers to create and execute code that runs over a distributed network rather than existing on a centralized server. Blockchain is the core of BCN, that is, a database that stores information used by the protocol.

BCN is a platform that hosts smart contracts. Smart contracts are pieces of code that are automatically executed when certain conditions are met and utilize BCN's global computing network. It also issues BIG5 coins to facilitate value exchange within a network or cryptocurrency exchange.

BCN does not allow outsiders to tamper with the program. The programs are added to the BCN's database, or blockchain, and can be programmed so that the code cannot be edited. In addition, all users can view the database, so they can quality check the code before interacting with it. This means that applications that can't be taken offline can be run by anyone, anywhere. Moreover, since the base unit, the BIG5 coin, stores value, these applications can set conditions for how the value is transferred.
